The first smartphone with SoC MediaTek Helio P60 of CUBOT Mobile – X20 was introduced. It also has good design and appropriate equipment. Obviously, this will be the flagship phone of the company in the second half of 2019. The biggest highlight of this device is its design similar to the iPhone 11 and three powerful cameras behind it. It is said that the company spent a lot of research and development expenses, set up a camera department to improve the AI algorithm.
The CUBOT X20 is powered by MediaTek’s popular SoC chip Helio P70. MT6771 is a SoC chip produced in 12-nanometer FinFET technology process, which uses an Octa-core processor (4x ARM Cortex-A73@2.1 GHz + 4x ARM Cortex-A53@2.0 GHz), as well as an ARM Mali-G72 graphics chip with a clock at the level of 900 MHz. However, the AI processing unit (APU), which is responsible for artificial intelligence management, is essential.
In terms of performance, the A73 performance is twice that of the A53. In the Geekbench run, the MT6771 multicore score is 5871 and the single core is 1524. In terms of power consumption, TSMC’s 12nm process is close to 10nm power consumption, and the overall power consumption is reduced by 12% compared to the 16nm process.
CUBOT X20, like the rest of the brand’s smartphones, works on the basis of Android 9.0 Pie. The software offers, among other things, “Easy Screenshot”, intelligent entertainment and cloning applications.
The battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh is responsible for the energy efficiency of this phone. The manufacturer decided to use support for the fast charging technology – 5V/2A (10W).
The Cubot X20 has been given an indentation in the display, which is in the shape of a drop of water and very gently refers to the note known from Essential Phone. The smartphone has a pretty good screen-to-chassis ratio of 90.8%. The frames have been reduced so that only the chin is visible. The content is presented in FullHD+ resolution, 2340 x 1080 pixels to be precise, on a 6.3″ display.
Of course, the X20 has a triple set of lenses on the rear panel. The cameras have been supported by artificial intelligence algorithms, allowing them to recognize 16 scenes and objects such as sunset, grass, interior, food, snow, night, dog or landscape.
The main camera sensor features 20MP + 12MP, while the additional 8MP is designed to support the main camera for shallow depth-of-field photography.
Bearing in mind that the smartphone is dedicated to Self lovers, the Sony IMX135 sensor is at the front of the camera, featuring 13MP resolution. The pixel size is 1.8µm, using the technology of combining four pixels into one to provide even better quality photos. With this camera you can also unlock your smartphone with AI Face Unlock.
