AuroraRC EGG2 HD 100mm 2 Inch FPV Racing Drone

The manufacturer AuroraRC proposes a new Tinywhoop, a device that measures 10 cm diagonal from engine to engine. It is a small size model (13.7 x 13.7 x 7 cm) for 2 inches propellers, but it is still equipped with a Vista case and a Caddx Nebula Nano camera. This makes it compatible with DJI’s FPV headphones for digital video feedback.

The Egg2 HD is based on a F411 processor (2 UART) flashed with Betaflight coupled with an ESC 4 in 1 of 25A BLheli_S. The pair drives 1303 to 5000KV brushless motors placed in pusher mode and fixed on a carbon structure, for 2 inches HQProp T2x2x4 propellers. Foam protections are provided to absorb shocks.

The device does not need a radio receiver, the DJI radio control is sufficient. However it is sold with either a Flysky FS-A8S V2 receiver, a FrSky XM+ or a TBS Crossfire Nano RX. The weight, without battery, is 112 grams. AuroraRC does not provide a battery, but recommends a Lipo 4S of 450 mAh, for a kinematic flight time (smooth on joysticks) of 3 minutes 30. Too bad: unlike its competitors at BetaFPV or iFlight (and others), it does not seem that the device is designed to accommodate a small stabilized camera. Even if he can count on his Nebula Nano camera, he remains in the Tinywhoop category, without passing into the Cinewhoop category.
