Xiaomi offers gaming keyboards for gamers. A month ago they presented a product for a completely different group of people. Multiplatform keyboard will work perfectly in the workflow of people who work on mobile equipment – smartphone/tablet but also on computers. The biggest advantage of the new keyboard is the ability to connect to Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. Just press one key, right?

The first thing you will feel after taking the product out of the box is its weight, the keyboard is heavy and weighs 900 grams. The quality of workmanship is at the highest level, in my opinion it is more solidly manufactured than Apple Magic Keyboard 2. There are rubber caps underneath which ensure a stable position on the desk. In the middle there is a cap behind which the batteries and dongles are hidden. The keyboard is powered by two small AAA fingers. Batteries are included in the set and sealed with a piece of plastic. In my opinion, the batteries are better than the built-in rechargeable battery. Recently I had a situation that I received a message about a weak battery in the mouse 10 minutes before it was completely discharged. I don’t have to add that it happened at the least suitable moment and I had to stop working because the mouse had to charge.

So far all keyboards which I used had square keys, the MIIIW product has round keys and it requires time for fingers to work on it appropriately. For me it took 30 minutes and I got used to the new conditions. It is inclined at an angle of 6 degrees and there is no possibility of adjustment. The most important function of the new keyboard is its multiplatformity, so it will work not only with a computer, but also with mobile devices. For this purpose it has a special groove at the top into which we put a tablet / smartphone. The device will be tilted at the right angle so that we can see the content of what we write.

What is the plus of writing texts on the tablet? On the tablet it is much easier to focus on one screen, the computer has definitely more possibilities to disperse and thus lose the thread.

At the top there are three most important keys in the whole MIIIW product. They are responsible for changing the mode of operation of the device. With one click you can change the way you communicate with the device. Whether it is to work via Bluetooth or dongle, whether the Windows or macOS keys are to work. It works immediately and sensationally, there is no problem with the connection process.

If you’re looking for a universal keyboard for desktop use, the MIIIW keyboard will be perfect. Due to its high weight, it is not very suitable for transport, but working at home on a tablet is a poetry. Do you want to return to work in front of a computer? Just press one button and the keyboard already supports a desktop computer. The first moments with round keys will not be very nice, you will regret the money spent, but when your fingers get used to it, you will change your mind.
