A few years ago, the best smartphones cost around $500, but today these values have doubled. However, the cheapest smartphones are getting better and better, and we are not talking about the best mid-range smartphones, but others that cost less than $100, such as the VKworld SD100.

When it comes to buying a cheap mobile, we all hope that its design will be old and of low quality. However, that’s not what we see in the VKworld SD100. This phone has a gout notch, like what we’ve seen on the DOOGEE Y8 and Y8 Plus. In addition, the side edges are quite reduced, as well as the bottom. Its rear casing, despite being made of plastic, has a gradient that gives it a more premium look.

But it’s not just a pretty face. Inside we find a MediaTek 1.3GHz quad-core processor, the MTK6580, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that can be expanded with microSD cards. Its 3,200 mAh battery may seem a bit small considering its large 6.088″ screen, but having a low resolution of 1280 x 600px and a low power processor, we think the SD100 will be more than enough for a normal day of use.

In the back of VKworld SD100, we will also find a dual camera of 8MP + 5 MP, and for selfies a lens of 5MP. We can’t talk about the quality of these sensors, but they don’t expect anything special in the truth either.

What we do like is that they have integrated Android 9.0 Pie. VKworld usually gives their mobile phones a personalization layer that we don’t like very much, but nothing that can’t be solved with a Launcher. The most important thing is that it’s up to date. In terms of color, we see two colors on their official website, black and blue.

In general, we are enthusiastic about this phone. It doesn’t have extraordinary specifications, but for $69.99, it’s the best we’ve seen so far. Its design is beautiful, it is up to date and its specifications are more than enough to run Android without any problem.
