It’s hard to get out of the house without headphones these days. They often accompany us on our way to work, to relax. If we want to be satisfied with them, we usually have to spend a lot of money on them. Has KZ managed to find a balance between price and quality? Welcome to the KZ ZS10 Pro review!

KZ ZS10 Pro has been with me for 2 weeks. After taking them out of the box, I had a lot of annoyance about the correct connection of headphones to the cable. I managed to do it only after 10 minutes. Another difficulty was to properly fit them to the ear. At the first attempts to put them on, I was irritated by the cable, which each time was laid completely different – fortunately, after some time I got used to it. At first I wasn’t impressed by the quality of the sound coming out of them. According to the manufacturer, this is not surprising, because it is marked in the manual to warm them up well. So I appreciated them only after a few hours. The sound coming out of them is pure, the bass is perfectly conquered, there is no distortion.

The headphones are characterized by an unusual appearance. Their casing is transparent, so you can see all the circuitry in them.

The KZ ZS10 Pro features self-customized balanced armatures which includes two 30095 drivers for high frequency, two 50060 drivers for mid frequency. With this configuration, the sound is transient, dynamic and bright in all respects. While the high frequency of this model is extended to beyond 40kHz.

The face plate is made of 304 stainless steel while the cavity is made from imported resin. The two different material not only presents an elegant look and shimmer but also be practical and durable. The detachable gold-plated 2 pin cable offers fully up grad ability and the limit slot protection design greatly avoids the pin from breaking and prolongs the service life of the interface.

During everyday work they are an ideal companion to make your time more pleasant. Unfortunately, at the beginning we have to adjust to the fact that the fun with untangling the cable will last relatively long. However, I think that the sound that we will hear after they are connected and put on rewards the previously described fun.

The KZ ZS10 Pro do not have “Noise cancelling“, Nevertheless, they are doing great and the competition in the form of loud conversations in the vicinity becomes problem-free to overcome.

Before we move on to sound, we would like to remind you once again that such assessments are always subjective. The perception of the acoustic picture is influenced by many different factors, including individual characteristics and previous experience of the listener. The xDuoo X20 player was used as a source of sound during testing. Music material was chosen from old psychedelic experiments of the 60s to modern heavy and even dancing electronic music.

The headphones also accompanied me during sports, such as rollerblading or running. They worked perfectly, did not come out of my ears, and the wind did not interfere with listening to music. During telephone conversations, the caller is able to hear us if we have a microphone close to each other, which is placed next to the button on the remote control.

Considering the pleasure of listening to music on the KZ ZS10 Pro and the ratio of its price to the actual quality, I can highly recommend it! The headphones can be purchased for about $49.99 at the Gearbest store.
