Just yesterday, Xiaomi released the Amazfit GTS square smart watch, known as the killer of iWatch, which caused a huge response. The intelligent Fitbit Versa 2 watch has been officially launched, confirming almost all previous reports about itself. The new generation of the series features an elegant and watertight design that offers a wide range of training and personal capabilities, including proximity payments.
The Fitbit Versa 2 is a smartwatch created by an American company specializing in the creation of gadgets supporting a healthy and sporty lifestyle. In the second installment of the series we saw many references to the predecessor and a multitude of functions, priced at a very decent level.
The body of the watch remained elegant and waterproof to a depth of 50 meters, so with the watch you can easily go to the swimming pool or lake. The Versa 2 aluminium construction was slimed down with frames around the display and cut in a very tasteful style, while the headband was made of comfortable polyester.
The rectangular smartphone display is Super AMOLED, which supports Always On mode and ensures good picture quality. On the screen we will display notifications from Bluetooth connected devices and our training results.
The watch supports 15 sports modes, among which it is worth mentioning running, swimming and yoga. Active lifestyle supports GPS-associated distance measurement on the smartphone, real-time heart rate monitoring, blood saturation measurement and sleep length control if you decide to sleep with the watch on your wrist.
The features of the model extend its connection with a smartphone, which allows you to track notifications, answer messages with your voice and access the application created by Fitbit for Android – the watch itself works under the control of its own Fitbit OS.
The system provides access to changes in the theme, weather application and Spotify, which for many maniacs may be an important argument in favor of buying a watch. Versa 2 also supports Amazon Alex’s voice assistant, which is not available in our country.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the support for NFC through Fitbit Pay, which means the possibility of contactless payments – also in Poland, because the brand supports payments through Revolut and Santander bank. The price of the cheapest version of the watch was set at $200. It’s a fair price, considering the support for NFC, waterproof housing and many useful features.
