Alfawise U30 2.8 inch Touch Screen DIY Desktop 3D Printer

The Alfawise U30 3D printer arrives on the market to follow the famous Alfawise U20 which was inspired by the Creality CR-10S and its volume of 300 x 300 x 400 mm. The Chinese manufacturer does not revolutionize its range of 3D printers and remains on the same architecture as the U20 but improving some interesting points and reducing the volume of printing. The power goes under the tray to integrate with the aluminum chassis, Alfawise provides a real support coil on top compatible with small and large filament coils.

Alfawise provides household solutions which consist of in-home robotic gadgets ranging from kitchen stand mixers, hand blenders, meat grinders all the way to ice cream makers, wireless doorbells, and vacuum cleaners for windows and floors.

A single extruder to print layers of 100 microns minimum with a 0.4mm nozzle and 1.75mm diameter filament. Sensors allow you to pause the print job in the event of a power failure or if the thread spool is empty. Filament type PLA, ABS, PVA, PP, TPU and even wood for a maximum extrusion temperature of 250 °C and a bed that heats up to 100 °C.

An 8GB microSD card comes with the U30 printer, which contains an assembly manual in English and a G-code file to test the printer. This SD card can be used to print autonomously on the Alfawise, actions taken from the 2.8 “touch screen that equips the U30. A USB port can also connect the printer to a computer to drive from Cura, Simplify3D or other software.

If one would have thought that the U30 was an evolution of the U20, it should rather be considered as a reduced model since the print volume falls to 220 x 220 x 250 mm. Sufficient for most cases, it also allows to display a more aggressive price for this 3D DIY printer that is built in 1 hour. By its characteristics, the Aflawise U30 competes with the Creality Ender 3.

The Alfawise U30 is priced at around $199.99, which is $80 less than the U20, with the main difference being the print volume.

With the Alfawise U30, we see that the Chinese manufacturer has taken into account the comments of the community (except for the funny idea of ​​having placed the micro SD card reader at the back of the machine).
