Today July 25, 2020 is an important day for AOVO, which has just launched several products globally. These include the highly anticipated AOVO EW4, of which we are going to learn all the features.

The new AOVO EW4 electric scooter can reach 35 km/h and is designed primarily to cover “short-haul trips”. In spite of this, its range is up to 25 km, more than enough for a fairly intense use in the city, with the ability to climb slopes of up to 20%. Thanks to the 350W brushless motor, the ride info can be displayed on a convenient integrated LCD screen that shows real-time speed, driving mode, battery charge and more.

AOVO preferred to keep 8.5 inch inner tube tires, like the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Pro2 that we reviewed recently. We double the braking system, then we have a front, rear and side reflectors, plus a powerful 2W LED headlamp. The weight of this device is 14.2kg and can be folded in less than three seconds – according to AOVO.

Three driving modes are still in use to modify the scooter’s behaviour and focus more on performance or battery life, bearing in mind that the maximum speed of the vehicle will always be limited to 35 km/h according to current legislation. On the braking side, E-ABS is now deployed on both front and rear wheels. Finally, the material used for the chassis design is evolving and gaining in strength, allowing this model to accommodate drivers weighing up to 120 kg.
