The big Cinewhoop family has a new member, the Security HD3. Security because its propellers rotate inside ducts that act as protections. Their exterior is lined with foam to absorb shocks. The structure is in carbon, with a diagonal of 14.9 cm from engine to engine. The motors are brushless 1507 to 2700KV driven by an ESC 4 in 1 of 40A BLheli_S.
There is an F722BT Dual flight controller. It is based on an F7 processor, with an integrated Bluetooth module compatible with the SpeedyBee application to make settings on a smartphone. Dual means that it has 2 gyroscopes, an ICM20689 and an MPU6000. The flight controller is connected to the ESC with a ribbon cable. It offers 6 UARTs, one of which is taken over by the Bluetooth module. The choice of this flight controller is intended to facilitate the connection with an FPV Air Unit and its DJI camera, via a ready-to-use connector that supplies 9V. AuroraRC has also designed the structure to place the DJI box on the edge, microSD hatch upwards and USB-C connector downwards. TPU parts are used to house the box and to guide the two antennas.
The whole thing weighs 307 grams without battery. The unit is offered assembled, with or without a DJI FPV Air Unit, and without a radio receiver. You can add one if you want to pilot with another radio control than the DJI one. To power the Security HD3, AuroraRC recommends 3S to 6S batteries, from 800 to 1300 mAh, with an XT60 connector.
The Security HD3 is offered at $220.00 at Banggood in its version without FPV Air Unit, and at $388.00 pre-equipped with the FPV Air Unit.
