After the CoreBook and its successor CoreBook Pro, the latter tested just a few months ago, the Chinese company has decided to expand the family by launching a new improved version. It’s called Chuwi CoreBook X but with a more productivity-oriented display.

The CoreBook X features a 14-inch 2K (2160 x 1440 pixels) IPS panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is suitable for those who need to read/edit documents or edit images. As with the Surface, the Chuwi CoreBook X gives the user more vertical screen space and the ability to view more lines of text, avoiding frequent scrolling of document pages.

This way the device will have the same footprint as an A4 sheet of paper, so it will be like carrying a notebook in your bag. The chassis is made of aluminium-magnesium alloy with a thickness of 9 millimetres and a weight of 780 grams, but there is also a U-shaped kickstand on the back that can be tilted at several angles for a maximum opening of 145°, which can transform the device into a notebook (with a magnetic keyboard), a workstation or a tablet depending on your needs. Regardless of the location – whether it’s an office, an airport, a park or your own home – CoreBook X can be used quickly and easily to increase productivity and leisure hours.

Moving on to the technical configuration, the Chuwi CoreBook X has a quad-core Intel Core i5-7267U processor up to 2.4GHz with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of SSD disk storage to store large amounts of media files, as well as Intel UHD 650 graphics to easily handle 4K video, video/photo editing and graphic design. On board of course, Windows 10.
