With the new CR-5 Pro, the popular 3D printer manufacturer Creality expands its portfolio with a 3D printer for professional use. The CR-5 Pro is a single-extrusion printer that can process a wider range of materials thanks to its closed design envelope. A touch screen with intuitive menu navigation makes it easy to use.

The CR-5 Pro has a solid metal housing with an installation space of 300 x 225 x 350 mm. Many of the components meet industry standards and are imported from well-known US manufacturers. These quality components make the CR-5 Pro a reliable part of your production workflow.

The masterchip is an ATMEL 2560, the power supply is from the well-known manufacturer Meanwell. High quality drivers control the mechanics precisely and let the stepper motors run quieter. The toothed belts are quality components of a US manufacturer and guarantee reliable x-y-axis precision of 0.012mm and thus permanently sharply detailed prints. The z-accuracy is 100 microns.

The extruder is supplied with a 0.4mm nozzle. Optionally, nozzle diameters of 0.2mm 0.3mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1mm can be used. The maximum extruder temperature of 250°C, the carborundum glass construction platform that can be heated up to 100°C and the closed construction space considerably extend the material spectrum. Many materials have to cool down slowly during printing to minimize the risk of warping. This is only possible with a closed installation space, as the temperature is maintained for a long time in the pressure chamber.

Filaments with 1.75 mm diameter are transported safely and through a quality bowden tube. A sensor detects whether filaments are being fed and pauses the printer if necessary. In the event of a power failure, printing is not rendered unusable, but can be resumed at the same point. This feature is particularly useful for large-format prints.

The printer is intuitively controlled via a touch display (English only). The print file is created using common slicing software like Cura, Repetierhost (both freeware) or Simplify3D (not included). The print data is transferred via a micro-SD card. Online transfer via a reality cloud solution is also possible, but is not recommended as printing can be interrupted by unstable Internet connections.
