When it comes to offering products designed for the home, we must say that the Asian company, Xiaomi, is one of the best options on the market, as they offer us a multitude of devices with an unbeatable price-quality ratio and this time we will get to know their section of humidifiers, being one of the most representative to date, the Xiaomi Deerma Ultrasonic, a team that not only stands out in design, but also in operation, but we must add that this is not all, as we have a new member for the family, we are talking about the Xiaomi Deerma DEM-SJS100, a humidifier that will be a jewel among fans of the great M.

The Xiaomi Deerma DEM-SJS100 comes in an inconspicuous cardboard colored box, in fact, you can appreciate that it had a bad time during its transfer, but regardless of this, its contents remained intact, so we can say it served its purpose.

At the top we can see the name of the product, Deerma Humidifier and as usual, the brand Deerma does not allude to the name of the parent company, Xiaomi, although many of us already know that this product is also part of their catalog of options. We must also add that we have a couple of features in Chinese and despite not knowing the language, will not be a problem, as we can sense that we are being indicated and apart from that, we have a QR code to scan.

The Xiaomi Deerma DEM-SJS100 has a minimalist design, which is characteristic of Xiaomi products, so from the beginning we will enjoy an elegant product that can accompany us anywhere. As far as colour is concerned, it is only available in white, subtly highlighting its peripherals. Going on to its manufacture, it is constructed with ABS plastic, giving it great resistance against blows, falls and scratches, but in the same way, we should not abuse this characteristic.

In the upper part we can appreciate a texture in relief, which offers us a better grip, preventing us from slipping easily from the hands, while in the lower part, we have a smooth surface and although we can hold it on this side, it is recommended to do so from the top. As for its dimensions, opt for: 22.40 centimeters high x 20.80 centimeters thick x 33 centimeters wide and has a weight of: 2,080 kg, so we are dealing with a product that we can take to taste anywhere without inconvenience.

In the front we have a white knob with a slight touch of gray to highlight the rest of the design. We can turn it from left to right to turn on our humidifier, it is worth mentioning that it will make a small click sound when we turn it on and if we continue turning it to the right, we will increase the power of the mist, although we will delve into its function later.

In the back of the humidifier will locate a power cable type A and this comes without ground connection, a detail that can be harmful if we live in a European country, as we need to buy an adapter to connect, although this is not all, because we have another problem and is that this cable is only 1 meter long, limiting us in terms of installation, as it must be close to the outlet.

On the right side we have a small slit that we can easily identify, since it has some small holes that will allow us to slide out. Once we remove it from the humidifier, we can pour the aromatic oils we want into it. An important detail included by the manufacturer, is a black foam that we can easily appreciate, it has the function of preventing viruses and bacteria from entering the humidification process.

This humidifier consists of 2 parts, the upper part is a container that can store up to 5 liters, while the lower part contains all the electrical components of the equipment. It is worth mentioning that we can separate them without any problem and to annex them again, we have an illustrative arrow that tells us how to do it. The container has a small slit that is protected by a glass, which allows us to appreciate the water level. The Xiaomi Deerma DEM-SJS100 has a fairly simple operation, to start, we must fill the container with water, we do not have a minimum, but a maximum, this being up to 5 liters. After that, we must fit it with the lower part, we will only do this if it is divided, we must mention that we have an LED indicator that is at the bottom of the container and it will shine with a red light if both parts are not connected as it should be.

When plugged in properly, the red LED will change color and after a few seconds, it will start working. Smoke levels will vary depending on the intensity you select with the knob. Before putting it into operation, we did a humidity test in a room of 20 square meters, marking 36%, then we turned on our humidifier for 1 hour, applied again the humidity test and this time marked 48%, notably refreshing the space in which we use it.

As far as the time of use, having the container with 5 liters of water, can offer us up to 20 hours of work, a considerable time and in the case that the same one is consumed, it will be turned off automatically, avoiding any failure. A considerable detail is that this humidifier can not be synchronized with our intelligent devices, so we must control it manually, forcing us to be close to it to implement some change and depending on the tastes of each user, this can be somewhat uncomfortable.

The Xiaomi Deerma DEM-SJS100 is a humidifier with an elegant design, which you can incorporate perfectly into any environment, whether at home or at work. It is built with high quality materials and its electrical components demonstrate the dedication of the manufacturer to offer us an exceptional product, although not everything is honey on flakes and this is because the power cable has a couple of drawbacks, and the lack of synchronization with our intelligent devices can be uncomfortable, but in general dyes, we are dealing with a product that is completely worth the effort.
