Diatone 2019 GT R249 95mm 2 inch 4S FPV Racing RC Drone

Until 2019, another month and a half, but the other day Diatone announced 4 micro quadrocopters FPV for 2019, under the digital names: GT R239, R249, R249+ and R349. All of them differ in size, so the smallest version with a size of 90 mm is the GT R239, and its case is plastic, and it also has protection + it flies on the 3S battery, while all the others have a carbon fiber frame and 4S batteries.

And so, the dimensions of the drones are as follows:

• Diatone GT R239 – 90 mm;
• Diatone GT R249 – 95 mm;
• Diatone GT R249+ – 115 mm;
• Diatone GT R349 – 135 mm.

The manufacturer promises micro drones in 3 colors:

• White;
• Transparent;
• The black.

All quadcopters are equipped with a flight controller Mamba F405, which is designed specifically for micro dimensions. Classic Camera – RunCam Micro Swift. Video transmitter also from RunCam – RunCam TX200U with adjustable power from 25 to 200mW.

You can see these two drones below and it will become clear to you that they do not have any particular visual differences – the same carbon frame, no protection. The only difference is in the size of the frames and the size of the propellers. The Diatone 2019 GT R249 has a frame size of 95 mm and 2 inch propellers, while the R249+ has a frame of 115 mm and 2.5-inch propellers. Everything else, including the engines – the same.

Summary

Excellent micro drones for flying around the house and on the street, due to their small size, they do not require large platforms for flying, like standard mini racing drones with a frame of 220 mm and more. All are quite powerful regulators of revolutions of 25 amperes, which can easily give all the power to engines with a huge rating of 5500KV.

Plastic in R239 from the company Mitsubishi, stated that this composite is very durable and poorly susceptible to deformation. Engines develop traction up to 120 grams per 1 engine; this is a very good indicator for such small motors. In all other respects, it is quite good quadrocopters in the MICRO niche, for an adequate price, starting at $109.99. This drone will be a great gift and just a good choice for yourself.

Do not forget that, complete with the drone, there is no control equipment and FPV glasses / helmet, you need to buy it separately, but do not worry, these components need to be bought for all less serious racing quadcopters.
