The Doogee S86 Pro has launched as a supplement to the already available Doogee S86. The latter is a relatively inexpensive outdoor smartphone with a Helio P60 and a comparatively small 6.1-inch screen. The Doogee S86 Pro builds on this and basically offers an identical configuration, but with a new gimmick. Doogee has installed an infrared thermometer in the Pro version that not only measures fever, but also the temperature of various other objects and surfaces. Infrared thermometers are always useful in everyday life, which is why it is quite an interesting idea to install such a gadget directly in a smartphone.

Of course, the Pro in the name cannot be justified by the thermometer alone, which is why the Doogee S86 Pro also comes with a memory upgrade. Thus, the working memory is increased from 6GB to 8GB. However, the data storage remains the same, but there is basically no need for an upgrade here since it is already quite generous with 128 GB in the regular Doogee S86 Pro.

The IP68-certified rugged design and the rest of the features of the Doogee S86 Pro remain identical to the regular model. Thus, the smartphone features the Mediatek Helio P60 processor (12nm), a 6.1-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass, support for NFC, and a large 8,500mAh battery with 24-watt Fast-Charging via USB Type-C.

The camera equipment also remains unchanged. The Doogee S86 Pro offers a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and Quad-LED flash, which is supported by an 8MP 130° UWW camera and a 2MP macro camera. There is also an 8MP camera on the front for selfies.

An 8500 mAh battery in the S86 provides enough juice to get by. The capacity was confirmed with several test measurements. The smartphone lasted for 21 hours and 48 minutes at 200 lux in the benchmark. An excellent value. Under normal conditions, you can easily get by for 3 days with one charge. Fast charging with 24 W is supported in the Doogee, which is excellent for this price range. It still takes just under 3 hours from 0 to 100%.
