Doogee S88 Pro IP68/IP69K rugged phone – The Real Power Soldier

DOOGEE presented its latest smartphone, which is designed to provide solid performance and is still in a rugged housing that meets IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810G standards. This is DOOGEE S88 Pro, which the manufacturer compares to Iron Man and advertises with the slogan “Soldier of True Power“. The first one results from the design, inspired by superhero armour. The second refers to the powerful battery size.. We can regard S88 Pro as an upgraded version of S68 Pro. However, I compared it, except that the screen changed to 6.3 inches and the battery changed to 10,000 mAh, the rest seemed to have changed little.

The standards mentioned above give us an understanding that the phone can survive up to two weeks immersed in water at a depth of 1.5 meters. In addition, the metal and polycarbonate construction of the S88 Pro ensures that the device will survive drops, extreme temperatures and even corrosion.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.3″ display with FullHD+ resolution (2280 x 1080 pixels). In the traditional shape of the indentation there is a 16MP wide angle Selfie camera with f/2.0 light. On the rear panel there is a set of three lenses – 21MP main + 8 MP auxiliary + 8MP wide angle. In addition, on the rear wall there is a fingerprint reader and an LED.

The smartphone is operated by SoC from MediaTek Helio P70 manufactured in 12 nm FinFET technological process, using eight-core processor (4x ARM Cortex-A73@2.1 GHz + 4x ARM Cortex-A53@2.0 GHz), as well as ARM Mali-G72 graphics chip with 900 MHz clock.

SoC works with 6GB of RAM, so we get a sensible and classic Chinese set, which will ensure stable operation of Android 10.0. For data we have a standard 128GB of internal memory type UFS 2.0, with the possibility of expansion by using a microSD reader.

The battery with a capacity of 10000 mAh should provide quite decent working times. The DOOGEE S88 Pro supports 24W fast charging technology (up to 55% in 30 minutes), 10W wireless charging, as well as recharging. The specification also includes a hotkey and NFC.
