The Chinese manufacturer DOOGEE in the country on the Vistula River is mainly associated with a smartphone with a higher level of protection at a low price. However, this time it will not be cheap, because the newest DOOGEE S96 Pro costs more than $299.99. However, the price is justified.

DOOGEE S96 Pro is another smartphone from the same manufacturer that is not supports modules. The first rugged phone in the world that supports modules is DOOGEE S90 Pro. The latest proposal is therefore an improvement of its predecessor. Therefore, it is worth taking a closer look at the DOOGEE S96 Pro.

MediaTek helio P90 with 8 GB of RAM is responsible for the correct operation of the Android system. This is a powerful unit for mid-range devices, as evidenced by the use of two Cortex-A75 ARM cores with a 2.2 GHz clock frequency and an additional six on the ARM Cortex-A55@2.0GHz architecture. If I mention that IMG PowerVR GM 9446 is responsible for the graphics, we get a suitably efficient SoC for midrange devices without a doubt.

The display on the 6.22″ smartphone with FullHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels) has been protected by the fifth generation Corning Gorilla Glass. There is of course a cutout for the camera dedicated to Selfie.

On the rear panel there is a set of three lenses – 48MP (Sony IMX582, f/1.8)+ 8MP (ultra-wide-angle, 117° field of view) + 8MP (tele, 10x zoom) and Selfie is dedicated to 16MP camera with f/2.0 light. Therefore, the IP68 should be mentioned, which indicates that the DOOGEE S96 Pro is able to stay under water up to 300 cm for up to 4 hours. The casing is also resistant to drops from a height of 200 cm (up to 1000 times).

The Doogee S96 pro is undoubtedly the missing link that will democratize the outdoor phone segment. It is indeed powerful and its finishes give it a racy look. We also appreciate its wireless and fast charging capabilities. Personally, I’ve only been working with sturdy and durable phones for a few years now. I take them with me during my outdoor activities or on the construction sites I work on.
