Forget the ultra-stabilized aircraft trend, the Eachine E180 is a helicopter designed for 3D flights. Backward and forward passes and other tricks are possible – depending on the pilot’s skill, of course. If you’re not comfortable flying a variable-pitch, unstabilized helicopter, you can still use it without switching to idle up mode, for more leisurely flights, but taking advantage of its main brushless motor, a 3606. The tail motor is a 1104 brushless.
The E180 is a lightly priced 3D model, so don’t expect the performance of the 3D monsters in competition. The battery is a 3S of 1000 mAh 25C for a 6 to 10 minutes autonomy according to Eachine. The dimensions? The device measures 40 cm in length (excluding the main rotor), 12 cm in height, and the propeller measures 41 cm in diameter. Weight without battery? 297 grams. The E180 is offered in a BnF version, to be paired with a Futaba S-FHSS protocol radio control, or DSMX by adding a Spektrum satellite. It is also available in RTF version, delivered with a pre-paired radio control.
