Eachine US65 DE65 PRO 65mm 1-2S Brushless Whoop FPV Racing Drone

Eachine’s successful Tinywhoop are back in “Pro” version! As a reminder, here is the test of the UK65 model, which dates from autumn 2018. The new models keep a 65 mm format, 6.5 cm diagonal from motor to motor. The main improvement of the Pro models? They are based on a new flight controller, Happymodel’s Crazybee X 1.0, whose special feature is that it supports 1S and 2S batteries, with an integrated ESC of 5A to pilot brushless motors.

This flight controller is a fully integrated unit since it also offers a 5.8 GHz video transmitter with 40 channels and a power of 25 mW (the maximum allowed in France), as well as a Flysky-compatible or FrSky-compatible SPI radio receiver. With a maximum power of 25 mW and a dipole antenna, the video range will inevitably be reduced. But Eachine still offers to install on board the device stronger radio receivers, a FrSky R-XSR or a TBS Crossfire Nano RX. Not sure if the overweight is justified.

The Crazybee X is equipped with NX0802 brushless motors at 14000KV, connected with the help of connectors, for Gemfan 1219 three-blade propellers with a central hole of 1 mm. The camera, a tiny Caddx Ant, 1200TVL 16:9 or 4:3, NTSC or PAL, with WDR, is connected directly by a cable and connector to the flight controller. Therefore a clean mounting with a minimum of soldering can be expected, which allows for simple and quick repairs. The weight ? 23.9 grams without the battery?

To power the US65 Pro or the DE65 Pro, Eachine has installed a double plug in PST PH2.0 format which allows to connect 2 batteries simultaneously. The manufacturer provides 4 batteries, 1S LiHV (4.35 V instead of 4.2 V) of 250 mAh 30C. It provides a multi-connector charger with a 12 V adapter. The whole is delivered in a transport pouch with an accessory to remove the propellers, a screwdriver and a set of additional propellers. The US65 is dressed in a livery in the colours of the American flag, the DE65 is in the colours of Germany.
