Everyone knows the success in sales of EKEN sports cameras, and especially its best-selling model EKEN H9, but now the brand bets on a complete renovation with the new Action Camera EKEN H9R Plus. A leap in quality and design that will please fans of the cheapest sports cameras and that will improve the specifications of the previous renovation EKEN H9 Plus. Although the official information about this action Camera 4K EKEN H9R Plus is rather scarce, we have found that it mounts an Ambarella A12 processor, quite common and already used in similar models such as EKEN H8 Plus or EKEN H9 Plus, which would incorporate electronic image stabilizer.

Where we find more doubts, is in the section of the sensor, because the only information we have is that it is a 14MP Panasonic sensor, so we risk to say that it mounts the sensor Panasonic MN34110 14MP, also mounted on other EKEN action cameras such as EKEN V8S or NK-CA3128-AMB.

If there is one thing the EKEN cameras stand out for, it’s that they don’t offer many innovations in design, and the EKEN H9R Plus wasn’t going to be any less.

We find a very similar design, but identical to the EKEN H5S on the front, except that this model is available in 2 colors: white or black and the acronym EKEN H9R Plus under the lens.

Both on the sides and back we find no difference with the model H8 Plus or the EKEN H5S, being the connections microUSB, miniHDMI and microSD card slot up to 64GB, exactly the same (microSD memory card guide). The rear 2″ screen has no touch functionality, being one of the main differences with its model EKEN H5S.
