You’ve probably heard as much about it as we have, and are wondering how well it performs? Or if it can satisfy you, even more so when you squint at its price? Yes, there’s really something to wonder about and we’ve decided to put this electric scooter through its paces. It will be through this test and opinion on the MegaWheels S5S. In the end, we are more than certain that you are and we will know where we stand with regard to the two-wheeled machine.

The design of this electric scooter offers a lot of straight lines. From the foot of the handlebars to the deck, they are rather well drawn and sober on top of that. The curved lines are mainly those of the two fenders mounted on the front and rear wheels.

The chainring is slim, but its robustness still translates into the maximum load it can support. A man weighing 120 kg can stand upright and roll on it without any trouble. However, this is doubtful if you look closely.

So we go on to say that the foot of the handlebar of this machine is foldable, which is not a surprise. You just have to fold it down at the base to store it in a small space like in a car or to carry it under your arm to move around in the subway.

From here, we’ll move on to the technical characteristics of the electric scooter. We will see if the performances are satisfactory and we will also say in which frame they will be optimal.

On the sides of each wheel, the manufacturer considered it useful to place reflectors, 4 in total. This way it will be almost impossible to go unnoticed no matter which side the others around you come from.

Also, our test of the MegaWheels S5S took into account the brakes of the machine. There are brakes on every wheel, so even at high speed, braking was no problem for us, the machine stopped almost instantly.

We will end this second part of this review on the MegaWheels S5S saying that the frame of the electric scooter is made of aeronautic-type aluminum, which guarantees its solidity. Also, the scooter includes a horn to enhance the user experience. This is not the case with all means of transportation at the moment, as our test of the Ninebot One Z10 proved.

The engine comes with a 36V battery and a power of 7.5 Ah. Here again it must be said, this power is the threshold of the battery performance that you can have on electric scooters. But what about the autonomy of the machine?

Our opinion on the MegaWheels S5S reveals that the range that one can have is between 18 and 22 kilometers. For an entry-level machine, with the capacities we mentioned above, we consider this to be satisfactory.

On the other hand, even if the manufacturer announces a maximum speed of 25 km/h, during our experience that allows us to issue this opinion on the MegaWheels S5S, we found that the equipment does not exceed 23 km/h. But we can easily be satisfied with that.

In addition, the manufacturer is making up for the time it takes to charge the battery. Indeed, for a complete recharge, it takes only 4 hours at most. A positive point in our opinion on the MegaWheels S5S.

In addition, the device is not even outdone in terms of practicability on slopes since it is capable of crossing slopes of 20°. This is a great performance that we cannot afford to ignore in this review of the MegaWheels S5S.
