Minisforum UM250 MINI PC

The new MINISFORUM UM250 is a Mini PC with an ultra-compact design, with AMD Ryzen5 2500U processor, WiFi 6, three video outputs (4K@60Hz) and a free slot to expand storage. Already on sale on Geekbuying at a price of 379.90 USD.

Waiting for the launch of MINISFORUM X35G, which will be launched in a few days with a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, the Chinese company expands its line of Mini PCs with new models: MINISFORUM UM250 is a new fanless Mini PC with an elegant and compact design (12.80 x 12.70 x 4.60 cm), which fits well in the living room as in the office, with AMD platform.

It integrates a quad-core AMD Ryzen5 2500U APU up to 3.6GHz (Turbo Mode), with AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 GPU, 12nm manufacturing process and TDP of only 15W, which ensures agile use with any office suite, in web browsing or as a 4K media player. The company has also planned a more powerful SKU with AMD Ryzen5 3500U APU, which will allow you to use the computer even for light gaming, but at the moment this configuration is not available in our market. The hardware platform is then completed by (up to) 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM on two SODIMM slots and 256/512 GB M.2 2280 SSD, to which is added a free slot for another 2.5-inch SATA3 drive (SSD/HDD).

The chassis has an easy opening from the other side to expand storage and integrates a microphone in the front. Since it does not have an internal fan, heat dissipation is facilitated by a series of grills on the bottom and on the four sides, which allow you to push heat away and lower internal temperatures.

You can already buy MINISFORUM UM250 on Aliexpress in the basic configuration with 8/128GB of memory at a price of 369.90 USD. The Mini PC is available in the only silver color with white details.

The rest of the equipment includes WiFi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth 5.1, as well as a good number of interfaces: two Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ-45), two USB 3.1 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C for data transfer and video signal, a 3.5 mm audio jack and two video outputs, one HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort, to be able to support up to 3 external displays. The operating system is Windows 10 Home.
