It is not the most economical MiniPC we have ever seen. At 382.30€ it is more in the upper range of the genre. But this price can be easily explained since the Nvisen Y-MU-01 is quite well equipped. It starts with a Core i7-8565U, a four-core chip and eight threads operating from 1.8 to 4.6 GHz with 8 MB cache. Launched in the third quarter of 2018, it is part of the Whiskey Lake processor galaxy and therefore includes an Intel UHD 620 graphics circuit. This high-performance chip has a TDP of 15 watts, so it will be necessary to actively dissipate it. The housing is drilled from side to side to allow air to circulate through the heart of the machine
The Nvisen Y-MU-01 chip can handle up to 64 GB of DDR4 and this is quite good because the device offers, and this is quite rare, two SoDIMM memory slots in this format. It comes standard with 8 GB of RAM but can easily be upgraded to 16 or 32 GB.
The storage is composed by default of 128 or 256 GB in M.2 format. It will be supported by a 2.5″ standard SATA slot to add a mechanical disk or a second SSD. No image of the rear connector is available, however, the data sheet indicates that the unit has an HDMI 2.0 output and a Display-Port output to manage two Ultra-HD displays.
The package includes a total of four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one Wifi4 module and Bluetooth 4.0 and headphone and microphone jacks. The Nvisen Y-MU-01 measures 13.6 cm wide by 12.5 cm deep and 4.3 cm thick.
