Oukitel company is little known to a wide circle of gadget lovers. Perhaps this is justified. After all, the company’s products are often accused of low productivity. Sometimes even obviously powerful processors installed in smartphones of a Chinese brand, for some reason, did not work at the proper level. However, in recent years, such claims arise less and less. Anyway, the priority for the company are protected smartphones, which never ran after performance.
Oukitel K7 Power is a simplified model in comparison with a device that does not have the Power prefix. Surely this was done so that a larger circle of users could get acquainted with the devices of the brand. Well, not a bad try. Worth seeing what comes of it.
Oukitel rewarded its offspring with a very low-cost processor from MediaTek – MT6750T. The AnTuTu benchmark estimates its performance at 44,600 points, which is quite low, even for a state employee. A more acceptable solution would be any representative of the MediaTek Helio P line, for example, P25 or P23. These crystals are estimated at 63 and 64 thousand points. But, apparently, the company was very constrained in price, so we have what we have. The MT6750T is based on eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores, which were divided into two clusters. The first cluster contains four Cortex-A53 with an operating frequency of up to 1.5 GHz, and the second cluster contains 4 Cortex-A53 with an operating frequency of up to 1.0 GHz. The chip is made according to 28-nanometer design standards, which is not even close with the modern 7-nanometer standards. The graphic information is handled by the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 chip, which contains two cores. Their operating frequency is up to 650 MHz. The processor is quite popular, here are some devices that are awarded this chip: HomTom H10, Doogee S55, Oppo F3, Alcatel A7, Sharp B10, Philips Xenium X598, Vernee M7, Cubot X18 Plus, ZTE Blade A2 Plus and many other gadgets.
The hero of the review can boast only two gigabytes of RAM. This is a conditional minimum, which the device must have for smooth and smooth execution of everyday “mobile” tasks. The working memory frequency is up to 833 MHz (single-channel mode of operation). Memory Type – LPDDR3. Flash memory is represented by sixteen gigabytes, which can be expanded microSD flash drive. But to install a memory card will have to sacrifice one of the two SIM-slots.
The display at the new budget from Oukitel rather mediocre. The screen itself is made on the usual IPS-matrix. For a decent diagonal of 6 inches hides a low resolution (720×1440 pixels) and a low density of pixels per inch (268 ppi). Pleases convenient aspect ratio – 18: 9 (2: 1). The display occupies only 71.13% of the front panel area. It is interesting that now even state employees are trying to do frameless, but Oukitel sees the beauty of the design not in the immense screen. It is worth making a reservation that it was not worth waiting for more for the ridiculous 7800 rubles, and the main feature of the smartphone is not on the screen.
Rear double photomodule – 13.0MP + 2.0 MP. Model of the main sensor – Sony IMX214 Exmor RS. The aperture value of the main module aperture is f/1.8. The pixel size is 1.127 microns. Video is in Full HD format. Of the interesting chips worth noting the presence of a double LED flash and face recognition functions. Thus, a good aperture and high resolution will help you to make high-quality photos that you will not be ashamed to upload to the social network.
The front camera does not particularly please you. Image resolution – 5.0MP, and the lens aperture – f/2.8. The pixel size is 1.141 microns, and the viewing angle is 130 degrees. Video you can shoot in HD. Your selfies will not differ in super quality, but for such money the cameras could be more “weak”.
Finally, we moved to the main highlight of the phone – its battery. Here it is represented by as many as 10,000 mAh. But you have to understand one important detail – one could admire such a capacity in some modern flagship, where the iron, for example, Snapdragon 845. The budget filling is less optimized and will drain energy from the battery faster. You will naturally get higher autonomy, but with a new and optimized hardware, it would be higher. The smartphone supports fast charging with an output power of 9 volts / 2 amperes. The company claims that the gadget will withstand more than 56 hours of active work, which is a very good result. A large battery leads to an inevitable increase in thickness (14.5 mm) and weight (302 grams). Modern standards – it is weight up to 200 grams, and thickness – up to 9 mm.
Interestingly, K7 Power supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11n 5 GHz. There is a headphone jack, which has now ceased to be a natural thing. The gadget has a number of sensors – a fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, compass, accelerometer, light sensor and proximity.
The hero of the review is the most budget of all the participants in the comparison. We see that K7 Power has the smallest volumes of both operational and flash memory. The quality of the screens in Oukitel K7 and Oukitel WP2 is higher than that of K7 Power. All three brothers have a double rear camera, but the resolution of the images is the highest in the Oukitel WP2, and the aperture in the K7 Power and K7. A higher resolution of the front photo module is observed in WP2. All three gadgets have a 10,000 mAh battery. None of the presented devices can be called elegant, because the thickness of 14.5 mm is very much (and in WP2 it generally reaches 16.5 mm). The same situation with weight. The weight standards for modern gadgets are up to 200 grams, and the weight of the presented devices exceeds 300 g.
