Proscenic Ultenic D5 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

We actually know the Proscenic brand from cordless vacuum cleaners. Now the manufacturer also has a first suction robot in its range.

The Proscenic brand is another subsidiary of the manufacturer Xiaomi. I myself have already tested two battery-powered vacuum cleaners by Proscenic and the Xiaomi handwriting is clearly visible here. Now there is also a first suction robot, the Proscenic Ultenic D5. Here I noticed the high similarity to the Xiaomi Mi 1C, which I could also present on YouTube.

First I thought about a simple rebranding of the device, but actually there are technical differences between the Mi 1C and the Proscenic Ultenic D5.

Like the Mi 1C, the Proscenic Ultenic D5 navigates with a combination of a dual gyro sensor and a TOF sensor. The exciting thing about this is that the suction robot creates a map of the apartment and also takes the individual rooms into account. So the Ultenic D5 can be sent to a desired room via app. This feature is usually only found with suction robots that are equipped with a laser.

The Proscenic Ultenic D5 also has a wipe function. To use this function a small water tank is attached to the bottom of the Dreame F9. This allows the suction robot to wipe for up to 90 minutes.

So, for my feeling, here we have an upgrade of the Xiaomi Mi 1C. I will soon be able to find out in a test how well the navigation works with the single room cleaning.

The Proscenic Ultenic D5 is priced at about 229.99 USD. However, it is also available from real for just under $199.99. By the way, the model with the additional designation “Mistral” is the version which is directly intended for the European market.
