RadioMaster, RadioKing, Jumper, Cavalier: it’s a bit confusing among radio control manufacturers who all have very similar looks. It seems that disagreements between RadioMaster and Jumper have led to the creation of new brands – but the underside of these manufacturers is hard to find. Still, RadioKing offers two new radio controls, the T18S and T18S Lite. They are simply near-compliant copies of the RadioMaster, Jumper and Cavalier products.

The joysticks are Hall-effect, with a 4.3-inch color touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. The operating system is OpenTX, with voice and vibration support. They offer 8 switches, 2 potentiometers and 2 knobs. The power supply is provided by a 2S battery, or 2 Li-ion 18650 with the support provided. They host a microSD card, and a USB-C socket allows recharging and connection with a computer. The dimensions are 18 x 19 x 5.8 cm. At the back, a bay allows the installation of a JR format module. The ignition requires the simultaneous pressure of 2 buttons to avoid being in the field with a radio already on and its battery almost empty.

The T18S is equipped with an integrated multi-protocol module compatible with FrSky, Futaba, Spektrum (DSM), Flysky, Walkera, Hubsan, Wfly, Hisky, Syma, Hitec, etc. radio controls. The T18S Lite is equipped with an entry-level multi-protocol module, which supports only FrSky, Futaba and Hitec remote controls. The transmission power of these modules is 100 mW. In the rear bay, both can accommodate single or multi-protocol modules in JR format such as JP4in1, Orange or Crossfire from TBS. On the T18, the supports of the joysticks are in aluminium, they are in ABS on the T18S Lite. The scroll wheel on the T18S is made of metal, the scroll wheel on the T18S Lite is made of plastic.
