For many young people, owning a big TV with a shocking view is a dream, but when you actually buy a TV, you will find that in front of the drawbacks of taking up too much space, inconvenient to move or install, large power consumption and high price of large size products, buying a TV has become the “past tense” in many families, home projectors have become a more sensible choice.
This being said, it is important to mention that XGIMI, the star brand of home projectors in China, has become a giant in the industry after only six years of existence, often reaching the top of various sales lists. The XGIMI Z6X was previously released.
In terms of styling, the new XGIMI Z6X remains unchanged from its predecessor, with a square appearance with continuous curvature and rounded corners, the familiar black color scheme, and a frosted surface that is extremely delicate to the touch.
The Z6X’s front-facing lens features a hermetic design with built-in high-transmittance coated glass, which is much more reasonable than the lens caps used in some traditional projectors and effectively prevents the lens from getting dust. On the right front of the projector is the honeycomb sound hole that hides the harman/kardon speaker, which houses a piece of the original harman/kardon audio, and the official claim is that the Z6X supports Dolby decoding and dual soundstage mode. In addition, we all know that the heat generated by any projector is not to be underestimated, so the sound hole actually serves to optimize heat dissipation.
On the back of the projector, the Z6X doesn’t have many ports, but it’s more than adequate, including an HDMI port as well as a USB port, a 3.5mm audio port and a power connector.
XGIMI Z6X adopts RGBB four-channel optical path design, and its brightness is increased to 600-800 ANSI lumens, which is about 10% higher than that of the old model, making the overall look and feel brighter. With 1080P full HD resolution and HDR10 + HLG decoding support, it can be said that Z6X is more than enough to watch movies and variety shows, and watching documentaries is even more wonderful.
As an electronic product, the experience is largely determined by the hardware configuration. The new XGIMIZ6X is powered by the new MStar 6A848 flagship processor, which officially claims a 30% increase in CPU performance and a 58% increase in GPU performance compared to the previous model, resulting in a smoother operating experience.
